# Retention 

Energy Monitor includes a feature of "**Retention**" which allows for  3 operations:

-   Deleting metrics older than X units of time. 
<br></br>
-   Backup metrics older than X units of time. 

    -   Daily backup is also available.
<br></br>
-   Restore metrics that occured between 2 dates. 

    -   Daily restore is also available.


## Setting retention up

Enter "**Manage**" -> "**Retention**"

Enter desired parameters and save them to the database with "**Submit**" button.
